JEWELRY MATERIALS

316 Stainless Steel

E’s Element carries many jewelry pieces made of 316 stainless steel due to its reliable water resistance and durability. This material is cost effective without sacrificing qualities that make it long lasting. 316 stainless steel is made up of iron and chromium, which naturally form a non-corrosive coating. This makes it very rare for pieces to rust. This is an excellent choice for stunning and enduring jewelry pieces that will last a lifetime.

18k Gold

18k gold is a popular material for creating jewelry due to its unique properties and benefits. This type of gold is made up of 75% pure gold and 25% alloy metals, which makes it more durable and resistant to wear and tear than pure gold. Its composition gives it a beautiful luster and color, making it an attractive choice for jewelry.18k gold is hypoallergenic, which means that it is unlikely to cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in most people. Its durability and hypoallergenic properties make it ideal for creating high-quality, long-lasting pieces of jewelry that can be worn daily without causing any discomfort.

925 Sterling Silver

925 sterling silver is another popular jewelry material. This type of silver is made up of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% alloy metals, usually copper. Its composition gives it a bright, shiny finish, making it an attractive choice for jewelry. Similar to 18k gold, 925 sterling silver is hypoallergenic. Customers often choose to buy jewelry made from 925 sterling silver because it is more affordable than other precious metals like gold or platinum while still providing a high-quality, luxurious look. 925 sterling silver is a timeless material that never goes out of style, making it an excellent investment for anyone looking to add a versatile and durable piece to their jewelry collection.

Copper Gold Plating

Copper gold plating is a great jewelry option for those seeking the luxurious look and feel of golf for an accessible budget range. This material consists of primarily copper which is a base layer under a gold surface layer. The copper base is extremely strong making this mixture of metal difficult to bend. Copper is also antibacterial and easy to clean using microfiber cloth to occasionally wipe down. Copper gold plating jewelry is not water resistant but is long lasting and easy to care for.

IP Plating

IP plating, also called ion plating is a type of coating used on various metals to create a durable and protective finish to jewelry. This is an extremely popular technique used to create hypoallergenic pieces that are comfortable for those who have sensitive skin. Jewelry made with this material requires very low maintenance care making it an easy addition to your accessory collection. IP plated pieces have the same high quality properties as silver and metal but are much lighter making them more comfortable to wear.

Processing Methods

The jewelry making process includes three main steps. Firstly the jewelry is created. Plate making is one creation method used which involves filling metal plates  with molten metal that is hammered into the shape of the plate. Another method is casting, which involves using a  wax pattern as a jewelry mold and filling it with molten metal to create desired jewelry shapes. Then all jewelry undergoes a thorough quality check to ensure each piece is in pristine shape to be sold. All jewelry must go through a test to ensure it is durable and up to standard. Lastly the jewlery is cleaned and packaged in custom E’s Element packaging.

ATHLEISUREWEAR MATERIALS

Cotton Fleece

Cotton fleece is a primary material used to produce many of E’s Element athleisure pieces. This material is soft, lightweight and usually has a slightly fuzzy texture on one side. It is produced by weaving fibres together then brushing it out to give it its unique texture. Cotton fleece is porous making it very breathable. Cotton fleece items perfect for wearing in all seasonal climates. It is easy to layer and does not trap excessive body heat making it suitable for warmer months!

Velvet Textiles

Velvet is a woven, tufted material that is extremely soft and luxurious. Its smooth feel and shiny appearance are perfect for making garments with depth. Velvet is made from a mixture of natural and synthetic materials that are manipulated during production to create its distinct texture. E’s Element uses velvet textiles to create a variety of styles in different colours. Garments made of this material are effortlessly elevated by the naturally expensive look and feel.

Ribbed Material

Ribbed material is used for both our cotton fleece and velvet garments. The fiber blend has vertical ribbing on both sides to create an alternating raised appearance. This is used for the cuff portion of our sweaters and the tapered portion of our pants around the ankle. The composition of the fabric makes it both stretchy and fitting to create accentuating shapes in the garment.

Spandex

Spandex is one of the highest preferred options for creating comfortable garments aimed to fit perfectly to any body type. Spandex is flattering as it is known for being stretchy to accommodate different shapes while maintaining its original form when it is not being worn. It is made of synthetic fibres which creates its elastic properties. Along with being comfortable, spandex is also strong, durable and resistant to wear and tear. Many of E’s Element garments are created with a spandex blend to incorporate these benefits into the garments.

Athleisurewear Processing Methods

The process for creating garments involves five main steps. Firstly the design is created from drawings, material selections and colour selections. Patterns are then cut and sewn out of the selected materials. Pieces are ironed at the seams to permanently shape them and the entire garment is ironed. Each garment undergoes a quality control check to ensure the entire piece meets our high quality checklist. This includes strong, clean seams, impeccable material throughout, and correct fit and draping on the body. Finally approved pieces are packaged for delivery.
